Brendan McGibney has worked in the multimedia industry for the last 12 years, with experience in pre-production, production and post-production. In his position as Broadcast Operations Manager, Brendan supports all aspects of production for the center, working with students, faculty, staff and outside vendors as well as working with the MMC team to improve and develop the facility through equipment upgrades, staff training and marketing strategies. His background in video production and photography has taken him across the world from the US to Europe and as far as New Zealand for various projects. This experience allows him to provide the necessary support to projects from pre-production to post-production, with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve along the way. Being a professional photographer has also allowed Brendan capture and share the production and events at the MMC.
Earlier this month, we brought our Multimedia Center crew
together for a team photo in the studio. The whole team came
together - interns, students and staff - there was some learning,
some laughs, and of course, a few photos.
Using our jib camera, we captured a little behind-the-scenes
action of the setup and shoot along with a few of the final images
at the end of the video (as well as at the bottom of this
blog).

The Lehman Multimedia Center was happy to welcome back a recent
graduate, Jeffrey Edison. For the
last two years, Jeffrey has been successfully working as a camera
operator for ESPN, in Bristol Connecticut. Luckily for us,
Jeffrey returned to meet with a small group of students and let
them pick his brain.
For over an hour, Jeffrey explained his role at ESPN - providing
an overview of his responsibilities, proper etiquette, and the
experience as a whole. The students had plenty of questions.

This past May,
we successfully captured and broadcast Lehman College’s
43rdAnnual Commencement ceremonies. It was a huge
collaborative effort between our staff, our interns and students,
BronxNet, and Lehman's Building and Grounds department. A
special thanks also goes out to Chris and Roberto from Sony and
their last minute help with our flight pack, and also to Cliff from
Profoto for developing a lighting solution.

Take a group of, one camera, and a little persuasion to
have some fun and what do you get? Over 300 photos of fun and
celebration turned into a 3 1/2 minute slide show!
At this year’s Lehman College Commencement we asked one
of our College Assistants, along with a crew of four interns, to
embark on a little adventure: get some graduates to really let
loose for our camera! We set up a photo booth, and while the

The Lehman College Multimedia Center is proud to announce that
four of its JCT
(Journalism, Communication, and Theatre) students will be
representing the school at this year’s NAB Trade Show in Las
Vegas. Through our continued relationship with Sony, the
students will intern for Sony working the booth -- helping to
introduce Sony’s products to visitors and show attendees.
