Effective organizations have systems and tools in place that enable them to serve their customers efficiently and reliably. Lehman recently launched two new systems that will help us better serve our students.
We recently launched a new portal for Lehman faculty and staff, called Lehman Connect. Lehman Connect is designed to provide easy access to College information and resources in one convenient location. Lehman Connect has some great features, including single sign-on to Lehman apps, cloud-type document storage for 24/7 access, team sites for department and committee collaboration and more. We hope to launch Lehman Connect for students in the fall term.
CUNYfirst is the City University of New York's integrated services system for students, faculty and staff. Thus far, our implementation is going very well; students are claiming their accounts and summer session registration is underway. CUNYfirst will allow students to manage their academic career in real time. Faculty will have tools that enhance their interaction with students, and staff will have the student administration and related functions necessary to operate as part of the nation's largest urban university.
Our goal is for Lehman to work and collaborate in ways that enhance teaching, learning and research at the College. These two systems move us even further in that direction.
